Most espresso coffee maker machine 2020 do not come with everything you need, so you end up buying a lot of accessories to make your own coffee.

Comes with a stainless steel round burr grinder, 1/2 pound closed bean, 54mm tamper, hot rod to lubricate your milk, and a cold spot. The user manual has a lot of details, so you should be able to follow its instructions without much trouble.

According to our experiments, learning how to use a machine is worth the effort, and the result is a very good taste. It's really easy to use, and you'll have a process down after two or three attempts.

Being an automated machine, Breville automatically adjusts the water temperature behind the steamer to extract more flavor from your beans. The machine has a 67 fl.oz (2L) water tank with a good handle for easy removal and comes with an adjustable water filter.

The built-in burr grinder is Breville's Smart Grinder Pro, which is our favorite (although we don't recommend it in our coffee grinding guide because it's small on the pricey side), and you can easily adjust the grinding size and value by dialing the front of the machine.

You can choose to use a filter basket on one or two walls, and the grinder will automatically adjust to give you the right amount of coffee grounds for your drink. Reviewers like that it comes with a grinder and praise its quality.

If you press a 54mm stainless steel portafilter on a hands-free grinding bed, the reasons will go into the filter. This machine automatically shuts off when it's done, too, so you don't have to worry about finding out if you have the right amount. Finally, a 54mm distortion ensures that your pads are evenly compressed, so you get the most out of your beans.

When it comes to deciding how much espresso you want to make, you can choose between two 1-volume and 2-cup sets. Alternatively, you can override the settings and select your espresso value.

Thermocoil heating system controls the water temperature, and you can view the espresso press pressure gauge. If you want thicker milk on top of your espresso, you can use a 360-degree swivel steam wand to foam in a frozen milk jar.

The removable drop tray catches any excess, so you don’t end up with too much clutter in your hands. You should clean that part daily. Breville's machine will also tell you if you need a complete cleaning, and it comes with a clean cleaning tool. Follow Breville's detailed care and maintenance guide to keep your machine running. And if you have any problems, Barista Express comes with a one-year warranty.

If you have no experience, it’s a great machine to learn about, and if you’re interested in navigating through settings, you can do that, too.

Before you buy the Breville Barista Express, be aware that Breville will probably be releasing this model soon with the new and faster Breville Barista Pro. We've just explored it and there's a lot you might like.

However, until the stock expires, we find that the Express works similar to the Pro, albeit slower. In fact, we prefer an older portafilter than the one in Pro. Longer so far: Express is cheaper, and comes with a built-in Breville's Smart Grinder Pro, so there's no need to spend another $ 200. For now, it's still our choice - Owen Burke and Malarie Gokey
